Where to Eat Wednesday - Atlanta Edition
My beautiful best friend got married this November in Atlanta! The wedding was fabulous and oh so much fun. Atlanta was beautiful and I'm glad I got to share seeing the city with Adam. We ate some great food including the best fried chicken ever and we tried a restaurant I was super excited about - Top Chef contestant Kevin Gillespie's Woodfire Grill. Unfortunately, Woodfire Grill didn't live up to my expectations. You can see my review on yelp - here.

I really wish I took Adam to Holeman & Finch Public House while we were out in Atlanta, because this place is a must do. Jaclyn took me here during my visit in April. She thought it was right up my alley and she couldn't have been more right.
The handcrafted burger is outstanding... and a little hard to get. They only make 24 a night and serve them promptly and 10:00 pm. We got there at 8:00 pm to get our burger order in and snacked on apps and sipped delicious beers until a guy got up on the bar and announced into a bullhorn that it was burger time! The double patty on a freshly made bun with homemade ketchup burger is delicious and perfectly simple. Their reasoning in serving only 24 a night is that each burger must be just right - and that takes time.
The whole experience was fun and the burger was worth the wait. The bar was busy but we scored a sweet little seat. The menu is new american / gastropub and offers some interesting selections including Roasted Baby Carrots with BBQ Lamb Bacon and Pickled Green Strawberry and Bacon Caramel Popcorn. Bottom line - if in Atlanta try out Holeman & Finch Public House and try to get the burger, but if you can't get the burger the menu has plenty of other delicious offerings.
